UNA has gotten the approval from several board members to move to D-1AA "I'm not calling it FCS thats an NCAA word."

But two things has to happen one West Georgia, Valdosta St, Delta St. and Carson-Newman must go up to D-1AA and the second thing is an invite to the Big South. I have talk to 2 board members and they said since their spending 30,000 grand the might as well go ahead and go. another thing west georgia is in the process the other 3 i don't know if anyone here anything post it here

 Hello and happy new year from footballgod. As you today Jan 1st UNA has hired former Auburn coach Terry Bowden. Two reasons behind this Number 1 2010 Florence will be outbid for the D2 championship game and the last reason you bet the move to D1-AA(FCS). upgrades is coming to braley stadium to 25,000-35,000 and the students 7,500 enrollment and growing wants it too with of course increase in the athletic fee. I know I will be paying for it with my wife trying to finish her degree haha. FBG out

Actually I think this is a good move by UNA. They have consistently solid sports, probably have facility upgrades planned along with the stadium expansion, and shouldn't have any problem finding a conference rather quickly, either the Big South or possibly OVC (as Florence isn't that far from the TN schools, and have pretty quick access to the KY schools involved) would probably be willing to pick them up rather quickly.

UNA would go to the OVC over the Big South. Those other schools do not have to move up for this to happen.
