Both of the above MB threads have a link to NY Post blurb by Lenn Robbins regarding Hofstra leaving CAA.There is apparently a lot of smoke here,but any fire?We will need to look for more confirmation,if possible.

Blog article out of Albany with comments from MAAC Commish Rich Ensor,who says that he has not heard from Hofstra regarding adding them to the MAAC.He also indicated that he would be interested in adding La Salle,Holy Cross , and Fordham to the league but none of these schools seemed interested in joining.He said that he didn't expect the MAAC to be making any moves in the near term.Link at http://blog.timesunion.com/collegesport ... -maac/3965

That was bound to come out of the A10 offices. A 14 team league like the A10 will not expand unless it's a unique situation. The only reason they went to 14 from 12 was because high profile programs Charlotte and St. Louis needed homes. The A10 wouldn't even expend for Butler, so unless a Big East school(s) want in, 14 will be the number.
