The article mentions the Southland and Sunbelt. I think we can rule out the Sunbelt.

At http://news.collegesportsinfo.com, i just wrote my options: If UNO managed to stay in D1, I think Centenary and UNO to the Atlantic Sun could benefit both schools from a performance perspective.

Quinn,thanks for the post.

BTW,am I the only one that is having problems connecting with the news item section on this board?

Followup article out of Shreveport with comments from Centenary BB coach who says that he is on a committee that is actively trying to get the school hooked up with a more travel friendly D-1 conference. He apparently opposes going the D-3 route.

Also,if Centenary is really serious about leaving the Summit and has to give two years notice to leave,I submit that they will want to get it over with as soon as possible and thus will then likely give the Summit notice prior to 7-1-09.
Stay tuned.

I haven't seen anything in the support section of the site, but did get one email about it. I ran some speed tests and it shows that the pages load at an acceptable speed (2-3 seconds tops for the main part of the page, 15 seconds for the right column and entire page to load). I'm not sure what the issue is unless maybe it has something to do with adblocking software/plugins that cause the computer to wait to load the page until all issues are resolved...but if the computer is blocking the Google ads at the top of the page, maybe it causes a freeze.

My advice would be to add collegesportsinfo.com to the list of exceptions in any firewall/security system as well as firefox or IE. There are no popups on the site, so there's no worries about them.
