Not so much a poll, but I'm curious as to what people think will happen next.

Let's keep it simple and just include the first 3 you think will happen.

My 3...

1. I think with the Big Sky affiliate football expansion, I think Sacramento St. will soon leave the Big Sky for the Big West. Totally honest, I haven't made any calls yet to even see if Sac St. has it in the works. Not doing that until next week.

2. If Sac St. leaves for the Big West, I think SUU gets a full invite to the Big Sky. Makes sense.

3. Seattle (and maybe Denver) to the WAC.
WAC needs basketball schools to keep the NCAA autobid. Both make sense. We've all had our minds set on all-sports members, but it's basketball that really needs the teams added, not football.

someone on the cs.com board posted a link where the BW agreed to NOT invite Sac St. to the conf. for other sports if they gave CP and UCD a home. The Commish wants a 10/12 look for the Sky.

1. S.Utah joins the Big Sky as a full member
2. WAC adds UTSA, Texas St., Sac St.
3. Big Sky adds N.Dakota

4. WCC adds Seattle
5. SLC adds Oral Roberts, UTPA
6. Summit adds HBU, Chicago St.(again)
7. BWC adds CS Bakersfield
8. OVC adds N.Alabama

If Sac St. stays then UND goes to the Summit. Maybe Denver to the WAC

1. WAC invites Sacramento State, Portland State, Montana, UTSA, Texas State, Lamar, all effective 2012, and announces following division alignment for football:

Idaho/San Jose State
Lamar/Portland State
Montana/Sacramento State
UTSA/Texas State
New Mexico State/Hawaii
Louisiana Tech/Utah State

The cross-division games are set up to guarantee that all of the full FBS members play no more than 3 teams that are transitioning from FCS in one year. After two seasons, Texas State and Idaho swap divisions for a true West/East split.

2. Big Sky adds Southern Utah (all sports), Denver (non-football), Seattle (non-football), North Dakota (football only), South Dakota (football only) effective 2012, effectively absorbing the Great West Football Conference. Utah Valley announces football program as conditoin of joining the Big Sky for all sports effective 2014. The Big Sky announces it will sponsor Men's Golf, effectively killing the single-sport America Sky conference.

3. The Summit League adds North Dakota (all sports but football) effective 2012.

4. The four-team Great West (Chicago State, NJIT, Houston Baptist, UTPA)

1) WAC invites Montana and Montana State (all sports)

2) Summit League starts Football (adds North Dakota all sports)

3) Great west adds division 2 move ups(the 2 best choices)

Interesting to see what actually happened, some of these did turn out to be correct.

My predictions:

1) Lamar to the WAC- WAC won't survive unless they get at least one more FB member, this seems the most likely

2) UMass to the MAC (FB only)- we thought this was going to happen over the weekend, but it still seems likely to happen soon

3) Stony Brook and Fordham to the CAA (FB only)- gets the CAA back to 12 (assuming Villanova stays, which I think they will) and adds the only 2 northeastern schools offering 63 scholarships in FCS that aren't already in the CAA.

Largely in agreement with Dafoe. Those 3 moves all seem likely, only the timing is in question.

4) Villanova to make their decision on Big East FB in April.
They could say yes, I personally believe this process is drawn out to buy cover for them to say no.
If it is a no, then UCF or Houston to the Big East for all sports.
