I've always been surprised that BC hasn't brought it back to a D1 level yet. Being in the ACC would be a big recruiting advantage in the northeast. With Syracuse in the mix, maybe it's an incentive.

Select division and sport to see map and listing (below map) of lacrosse schools.

You can click on "Conference" heading in the list of schools to sort by conference.

ACC LAX: Notre Dame, Syracuse, Virginia, North Carolina, Duke & TBD...
BE LAX: Gtown, Nova, St Johns, Providence, Marquette & TBD...

Seriously. Acc was looking strong with there 6. But with Rutgers leaving the big east and Maryland out of the ACC, everyone is screwed now, 1 short of 6

B1G LAX: Michigan, Ohio St, Penn St, Maryland, Rutgers & TBD...
ACC LAX: Notre Dame, Syracuse, Virginia, North Carolina, Duke & TBD...
Catholic LAX: Gtown, Nova, St Johns, Providence, Marquette & TBD...
NEC LAX: Robert Morris, Mt St Mary's, Wagner, Sacred Heart, Bryant & TBD...
All one team shy of the automatic bid...

American East, Ivy League , and the Patriot League are all set.

MAAC LAX: now has 6 LAX playing members and could drop all affiliate members with the addition of Quinpipiac and taking back Fairfield from the ECAC (which is about to lose the B1G schools).

CAA LAX: Hofstra, Drexel, Towson, UDel + UMass (A10) St Joeph's (A10) (possible A10 take over if they get Hofstra/Drexel)

ECAC LAX: Air Force (MWC), Denver (Summit), Bellamie (D2), Hobart (D3)+ (ex-MAAC affiliates) VMI (Big South), Detriot Mercy (Horizon), Jacksonville (Atlantic Sun) & (current independents) Mecer (Atlantic Sun), and High Point (Big South) which would be 9 but I'm thinking that unless the NEC is planning on adding a school with LAX they really need that autobid so Hobart (who in the NEC's footprint in NY) may get invited as an affiliate member giving them an autobid and leaving this new ECAC at 8.

UMass-Lowell is upgrading from D2 to American East and is adding LAX (didn't need them for an AQ but it grows the sport)

Also I didn't see this on here but John Hopkins is considering joining the Big Ten as a LAX only member which would give them 6 and the AQ (assuming they don't add another in UNC/UVA/Duke/ND)
