All one team shy of the automatic bid...
American East, Ivy League , and the Patriot League are all set.
MAAC LAX: now has 6 LAX playing members and could drop all affiliate members with the addition of Quinpipiac and taking back Fairfield from the ECAC (which is about to lose the B1G schools).
CAA LAX: Hofstra, Drexel, Towson, UDel + UMass (A10) St Joeph's (A10) (possible A10 take over if they get Hofstra/Drexel)
ECAC LAX: Air Force (MWC), Denver (Summit), Bellamie (D2), Hobart (D3)+ (ex-MAAC affiliates) VMI (Big South), Detriot Mercy (Horizon), Jacksonville (Atlantic Sun) & (current independents) Mecer (Atlantic Sun), and High Point (Big South) which would be 9 but I'm thinking that unless the NEC is planning on adding a school with LAX they really need that autobid so Hobart (who in the NEC's footprint in NY) may get invited as an affiliate member giving them an autobid and leaving this new ECAC at 8.
UMass-Lowell is upgrading from D2 to American East and is adding LAX (didn't need them for an AQ but it grows the sport)
http://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2013/ ... story.htmlAlso I didn't see this on here but John Hopkins is considering joining the Big Ten as a LAX only member which would give them 6 and the AQ (assuming they don't add another in UNC/UVA/Duke/ND)
