ORU holding a press conference tomorrow at 2:30pm.

http://orugoldeneagles.com/ViewArticle. ... =205321822

it will be broadcasted live at http://www.orugoldeneagles.com/?DB_OEM_ID=17000

the article says a "major university announcement in regards to athletics".

looks like ORU to TSL is a done deal.

you would think UND would like to put their non football sports in Oral Roberts slot in the Summit. With the Calfornia schools being football only, no reason North Dakota can't too. Would save everyone a lot of money.

totally concur.
North Dakota - Summit / BSC FB, MVFC later
Sac State - BW / BCS FB

Once Wac implodes:
Denver (no FB) to BSC
Seattle (no FB) to BSC
Idaho to BSC all sports
SJSU to BW/ BSC FB

The Summit will need to try and get NKU if OVC doesn't take them, if not Bellarmine wants to move to D-I and they would be great for the Summit.

Both would be good for the eastern trio - and no football issues.

The OVC seems hot on NKU, but yes, without football, Summit seems like the better fit. Would be a great addition for the region of the summit.

Looks like they are building towards an east/west 12 team league. UNO is 9, Bellarmine/NKU 10, UND 11????, Chicago St???? 12??? they are doing a good job with this. kudos to the Summit for reorganizing and establishing a good footprint for themselves.

I dont' think beyond 10 is in the plans since even getting a QUALITY #10 will be an issue.

Bellarmine is a quality #10 and willing to move to D-I. 2011 D-II bball champs, think of themselves as the Notre Dame of Louisville. Sounds like a great add for the Summit. Or the new Big East.
