And I think they may be due to lose yet another school.

The NCAA D-2 Great American Conference is now at 6 Arkansas schools and 5 Oklahoma schools.
One would think they would fill out the conference by inviting a 6th Oklahoma school.

They've been pulling them out of the NAIA Sooner Athletic Conference, and I seem to recall that OCU (Oklhoma City University) is a potential invitee.

Anyone know anything more on that ?

OCU doesn't have football so I do not know if they would be a fit.

You're right. OK football schools that might be candidates would seem to include OPSU (already D-2), or NAIA Bacone and Langston (an HBCU).

I know nothing about these little schools, so forgive my ignorance.

The moves here put the
Midlands collegiate Athletic Conf. (MCAC) at 8,
Sooner Athletic Conf. (SAC) at 11, and the
Red River Athletic Conf. (RRAC) at 12.

Since they are fighting over schools in the area, I'm wondering about the following:
Oklahoma Wesleyan (lone OK school in MCAC) - would they be attractive to SAC ?
Houston - Victoria (NAIA - Independent) - would they be attactive to RRAC ?
Northern New Mexico (NAIA - Independent) - I have a note that says they are looking at NCAA D-2 - presumably the RMAC or Lone Star (LSC) ?

Anyone out there know much about these schools ?

Thanks.

Spring Hill leaving the NAIA and The University of Mobile (Mobile College when I was growing up) is a rather significant development-Spring Hill and Mobile have been together for decades.

SSAC adds Martin Methodist, Bethel(TN), Blue Mountain

TSAC down to Freed-Hardman, Life. So they are basically Indy now.
