B1G LAX: Michigan, Ohio St, Penn St, Maryland, Rutgers & John Hopkins (D3)
Big East: Gtown, Nova, St Johns, Providence, Marquette & Denver (Summit)
ACC LAX: Notre Dame, Syracuse, Virginia, North Carolina, Duke & TBD...
NEC LAX: Robert Morris, Mt St Mary's, Wagner, Sacred Heart, Bryant & TBD...
Both still one team shy of the automatic bid...possible additions:
Air Force>>>>ACC
Hobart>>>>NEC
American East, BE, B1G, Ivy League, and the Patriot League are all set.
MAAC LAX: now has 6 LAX playing members and could drop all affiliate members with the addition of Quinpipiac and adding Fairfield from the ECAC (which is about to lose all the B1G schools).
CAA LAX: Hofstra, Drexel, Towson, UDel + UMass (A10) St Joeph's (A10)
New LAX conference (or new ECAC):
Remaining ECAC LAX: Bellamie (D2)
Ex-MAAC affiliates: VMI (SoCon), Detroit Mercy (Horizon) and Jacksonville (Atlantic Sun)
Current independents: Mercer (SoCon) and High Point (Big South)
I really thought the ACC should have pushed hard for JHU as a regional replacement in Maryland/DC for the departing Maryland.
I'm biased, but since UMass has a long tradition of playing ACC schools in lacrosse both home and away, I'd love to see them added as the lone affiliate member if for anything, to make a lax trips north to Syracuse worthwhile for the southern schools.
