IDK if this has been talked about before on here, but I couldn't find any info.

Also, posted on AGS but haven't heard an answer...

Just pulled this of Wikipedia. Didn't find any starting 2012:

Charlotte 49ers Charlotte North Carolina TBD 1946 2013[1]

Mercer Bears Macon Georgia Pioneer Football League 1833 2013[2]

Stetson Hatters DeLand Florida Pioneer Football League 1883 2013[3]

Houston Baptist Huskies Houston Texas Southland 1960 2014[4]

Kennesaw State Owls Kennesaw GA TBD 1963 2014[5

Is there any word on where Kennesaw State is going to end up? Also, has there been any word of a break in the PFL and a start of an A-Sun football league?

Lastly, will the PFL go to two 6 team division in 2013? (W: San Diego, Drake, Valpo, Dayton, Morehead | E: Marist, Campbell, Davidson, Mercer, Jacksonville, Stetson)

I thought KSU was gonna have scholly fb, and join the Big South. But the Big South went to 12 w/ Longwood already. So fb only or PFL for KSU. You have 7 in the South if KSU goes non scholly. 4 ASC members, Campbell, Davidson, Morehead St.(could go either South or North) could start their own conf. The other 6 Could have their own, Butler, Drake, Dayton, Valpo, Morehead St., Marist. San Diego should just be left out and have 6/6 or 2 conf. of 6. If Moreahead wants in the South then you could have a conf. of 7 and 6 USD back in.

Elon's women's lax is going to the A-Sun.

(SoCon does not sponsor women's lacrosse.)

The Big South and Atlantic Sun are carving up the National Lacrosse Conference:

Big South - Davidson, High Point, Liberty, Presbyterian (plus new programs from existing Big South schools Campbell, Coastal Carolina, and Winthrop)
Atlantic Sun - Detroit Mercy, Howard, Jacksonville, Longwood (plus new programs from existing Atlantic Sun schools Kennesaw State and Stetson)

Even though the Big South is adding Longwood for all other sports, Longwood will be an Atlantic Sun Lacrosse member. I haven't seen any evidence that anomaly will be corrected, as Davidson is the only school playing in the Big South who is not a full member.

If the Big Ten sponsors women's lacrosse, it would free up Florida, Johns Hopkins, and Vanderbilt from the American Lacrosse Conference, as the Big Ten currently has four of the seven schools in the conference (Michigan, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State). Old Dominion may also be available if the CAA does not let them stay there, as C-USA does not sponsor the sport.

Longwood announced on Jan. 23, 2012, when they announced their move to the Big South Conference, that they would be playing lacrosse in the conference.
Quote:
Longwood sponsors 14 intercollegiate Division I sports, 13 of which are sponsored by the Big South: baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, softball, along with men's and women's tennis. The Lancers' field hockey program will continue to compete within the Northern Pacific Field Hockey Conference (NorPac), as it has since 2005.

ALC down to 6 members in 2013-14 or 2014-15.

Kennesaw St football will probably land in the Big South since they are hurting for members. I'm not positive if the entire athletic dept will make the move--the Big South would probably have to lose a school for the Owls to get a full invite.

Ok, A10 just lost 4. Who do they add? George Mason, Detroit, Siena, Northeastern would be my guess, maybe Davidson if they want back in NC. The money should make it worth the travel for them, plus the SoCon is going to lose 2 more

This could get rather ominous for the Atlantic Sun:

Tulsa goes to conference soon to be formerly known as the Big East

WKU goes to C-USA

Sun Belt adds James Madison, App State, Georgia Southern

CAA adds Davidson

SoCon adds ETSU, Mercer, Kennesaw State

A-10 reloads to 14 with George Mason, Siena, Northeastern, Cleveland State

CAA adds Monmouth (football scheduled to join Big South, other sports scheduled to join the MAAC) and Stony Brook for all sports

America East replaces Stony Brook with NJIT

MVC replaces Creighton with Valparaiso

Desperate for baseball playing schools, the Horizon adds Belmont, SIUE, and IPFW

Likewise needing baseball playing schools, the Summit adds SE Missouri State and Eastern Illinois

The OVC adds NKU and Lipscomb

The Atlantic Sun would be down to the following:

FGCU
Stetson
Jacksonville
UNF
USCU
