Even though the Big South is adding Longwood for all other sports, Longwood will be an Atlantic Sun Lacrosse member. I haven't seen any evidence that anomaly will be corrected
Longwood announced on Jan. 23, 2012, when they announced their move to the Big South Conference, that they would be playing lacrosse in the conference.

Longwood sponsors 14 intercollegiate Division I sports, 13 of which are sponsored by the Big South: baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, softball, along with men's and women's tennis. The Lancers' field hockey program will continue to compete within the Northern Pacific Field Hockey Conference (NorPac), as it has since 2005.

If the Big Ten sponsors women's lacrosse, it would free up Florida, Johns Hopkins, and Vanderbilt from the American Lacrosse Conference, as the Big Ten currently has four of the seven schools in the conference (Michigan, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State). Old Dominion may also be available if the CAA does not let them stay there, as C-USA does not sponsor the sport.
ALC down to 6 members in 2013-14 or 2014-15.
